Hanoi Drip is a Vietnamese café in Vancouver dedicated to the coffee culture of Hanoi. We serve traditional Vietnamese coffee drinks — cà phê trứng (egg coffee), cà phê sữa đá (iced milk coffee), cà phê muối (salted cream coffee), and phin drip coffee — alongside Vietnamese-inspired teas and fresh milk drinks.

Vietnamese café culture is built around slowness and ritual. In Hanoi, people sit at small street-side tables, watch their phin filter drip, and linger over their coffee for an hour. We've brought that spirit to Vancouver — a place where you can slow down, connect, and drink something genuinely different.

The Story Behind Hanoi Drip

Hanoi Drip was founded to share the coffee culture of Hanoi with Vancouver. The name comes from the city where Vietnamese coffee culture was born — Hanoi, where cà phê trứng was invented in the 1940s and where the phin filter has been the standard brewing method for over a century.

Our founders grew up drinking Vietnamese coffee and wanted to create a space in Vancouver that honoured that tradition — not as a novelty, but as a genuine cultural institution. Every detail of our cafés, from the menu to the brewing method to the aesthetic, reflects that intention.

Today, Hanoi Drip serves thousands of customers a week across three locations. We're proud to be Vancouver's Vietnamese café.
