Every cup of Hanoi Drip coffee starts with a choice: where do the beans come from, and how were the farmers treated?

We source 100% Vietnamese robusta from family farms in Vietnam's Central Highlands — primarily the Dak Lak and Lam Dong provinces. We work directly with farmers, bypassing commodity brokers, to ensure quality and fair pricing.

This isn't just an ethical choice. It's a quality choice. Direct relationships with farmers mean we can specify exactly what we want — the variety, the processing method, the roast profile — and get it consistently.

Our Commitments

Direct Trade

We work directly with family farms in Vietnam's Central Highlands, bypassing commodity brokers. Farmers receive a higher price; we get better beans.

Sustainable Farming

Vietnamese robusta requires less water and fewer chemical inputs than arabica. The family farms we work with use traditional growing methods.

Vietnam's Central Highlands: Where Our Coffee Grows

The Central Highlands of Vietnam — Dak Lak, Lam Dong, and Gia Lai provinces — is one of the world's great coffee-growing regions. The volcanic basalt soil, altitude of 500–800m, and tropical climate produce robusta beans with exceptional complexity.

The Buon Ma Thuot region in Dak Lak is considered the heart of Vietnamese coffee production. It hosts the biennial Vietnam Coffee Festival and is home to some of the country's most respected coffee farmers.

The family farms we work with have been growing coffee for generations. They know the land, the climate, and the craft. Our job is to get their beans to Vancouver with as little interference as possible.
